Three steps to a finished resume

Start blank or from an example

Pick one of 12 realistic examples — nurse, teacher, software engineer and more — or start from an empty page.

Fill in the form

Contact, summary, experience, education, skills, projects and more. Reorder or hide any section. The checklist tells you what to improve.

Download

Save a selectable-text PDF with correct margins and page breaks, or a .txt version for pasting into application forms.

Built for the way hiring actually works

ATS-friendly by design

Single-column layouts, real text and standard headings, so applicant tracking systems read every line.

Action-verb helper

Stuck on a bullet? Click a strong verb — Led, Reduced, Negotiated — to start the line, then add your result.

Honest checklist score

Checks the basics recruiters notice: complete contact details, quantified bullets, summary length and a 1–2 page length.

Four templates

Classic is free. Modern, Compact and Elegant come with Pro. Change the accent colour, text size and page size any time.

Matching cover letters

Pro includes a cover letter editor that reuses your resume’s header, template and colours.

No account needed

Open the page and start typing. Close it and come back — your draft autosaves in this browser.

Private by design

Most resume sites ask you to create an account and store your career history on their servers. Resumetide doesn’t. The builder is a static web page: what you type is saved in your browser’s local storage and never uploaded. Export a JSON file whenever you want a backup, and delete everything with one click.

Our guide and example pages show ads to keep the free tier free; the builder itself never does. See the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The Classic template, live preview, PDF and plain-text export, JSON backup and the checklist are free with no account. Resumetide Pro ($9 one-time, lifetime) adds more templates, multiple saved resumes, a cover letter editor and removes the small footer line and ads.

Where is my resume stored?

Only in your browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing you type is sent to a server. Use Export JSON to keep a backup or move your resume to another device, and Import JSON to load it again.

How do I download my resume as a PDF?

Click “Download PDF”. Your browser’s print dialog opens: choose “Save as PDF” as the destination and turn off “Headers and footers”. The result is a text-based PDF that applicant tracking systems can read.

Are the templates ATS-friendly?

Yes. All four templates are single-column, use real selectable text and standard section headings, and keep contact details in the body — not in images or sidebars.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. On small screens the builder switches to Edit and Preview tabs. For the final PDF, a laptop or desktop browser gives you the most control over print settings.
