The short version

Your resume stays on your device. The resume builder and cover letter editor run entirely in your web browser. We do not have servers that receive, store or read your resume content, and we have no user accounts.

What is stored on your device

We use your browser’s localStorage to save:

  • Your resumes and cover letters (keys beginning with pl:doc:) and the list of saved slots (pl:slots, pl:active).
  • Your Pro license key and when it was last checked (pl:license), if you activate one.

This data never leaves your device unless you export it yourself. You can delete it with “Clear all” in the builder, by removing your license on the pricing page, or by clearing site data in your browser settings. Clearing browser data will delete your resumes, so export a JSON backup first.

Cookies and advertising

To keep the free tier free, our content pages (examples, templates and guides — never the builder itself) may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Pro users never see ads, and no ad scripts are loaded for them.

Analytics

If enabled, we use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (for example Plausible, which does not use cookies, or Google Analytics 4) to count page views and understand which pages are useful. Analytics never receives the contents of your resume.

Payments and license checks

Pro purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record and handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. When you activate or re-check a license, your browser sends only the license key to Lemon Squeezy’s license API to confirm it is valid. We do not receive your card details.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes and contact

We will update this page if our practices change. Questions? Email hello@example.com.
